Conferring of awards ceremonies for the class of 2023 will take place on Friday, 27th October 2023 in the Kerry Sports Academy, North Campus.
Graduates should check this website regularly as details are subject to change. Please note that any communication issued about the graduation will be sent to the student's email address.
To reserve a seat at the conferring ceremony, graduands must register their attendance using the link emailed to their student email account before 5pm on 12 October 2023.

Venue & Accessibility
The celebrations will take place in the Kerry Sports Academy, Munster Technological University, North Campus, Dromtacker, Tralee, Co. Kerry, V92 HD4V.
The Kerry Sports Academy is wheelchair accessible. If you or one of your guests requires assistance to access the venue, we will be delighted to help. Please let us know in advance what assistance is required.

Parking
There are several car parks available near the KSA Building and throughout the entire Campus.
Please allow adequate time to secure parking ahead of the commencement of each graduation session.
MTU Kerry accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any vehicle or contents however caused while parked in any of the carpark areas or any other surface lot area.
Note: Due to the large number of people attending the Conferring Ceremonies, we ask graduates and guests to co-operate with staff, security and Gardai. In particular, motorists should ensure that they do not obstruct entrances to private property and businesses in the vicinity of the MTU Kerry North Campus.
Graduate Robing
Graduands attending the conferring must pre-book robes with the official robe-makers, Phelan Conan Limited before Midnight on Tuesday 24th October 2023. Robes may be pre-booked on line at www.phelanconan.com. The pre-paid hire fee is €35 or Pay on the day hire fee is €40.

Due to the implementation of a personal 3D secure password during the credit card payment process on https://www.phelanconan.com Phelan Conan Ltd staff are no longer able to take bookings over the phone. This has been created to protect your online payments and if you don’t already have a 3D secure password you can activate it by following the simple instructions during the booking process. If you experience any further problems with 3D secure process, please contact your bank.
Phelan Conan Ltd are unable to accept cash transactions. All gowns must be returned to Phelan Conan as soon as possible after the conclusion of the ceremony.
Graduate Robes can be collected in Room W163, Kerry Sports Academy Building, MTU Kerry North Campus, Dromtacker as follows:
Thursday October 26th between 4pm – 8pm for all graduates graduating Friday 27th October, 2023.
Friday October 27th between 8am – 9am for those graduating at 10am session.
Friday October 27th between 11am – 12pm for those graduating at 2pm session.
Graduate Assembly - Session 1
You must collect your gown in Room W163, KSA Building.
Graduate Assembly/Class of 2023 takes place in the KSA Hall 2 at 9.15am. Seats are reserved for graduands who have confirmed their attendance. Graduands are asked to take the seat assigned to them, with their respective class-group in alphabetical order as shown in the booklet.
Graduates arriving after 9.30am will not be permitted to participate in the Ceremony.
If you are unable to attend your graduation, your award will be conferred in-absentia and your parchment will be mailed to you in November.
Graduate Assembly - Session 2
You must collect your gown in Room W163, KSA Building.
Graduate Assembly/Class of 2023 takes place in the KSA Hall 2 at 1.15pm. Seats are reserved for graduands who have confirmed their attendance. Graduands are asked to take the seat assigned to them, with their respective class-group in alphabetical order as shown in the booklet.
Graduates arriving after 1.30pm will not be permitted to participate in the Ceremony.
If you are unable to attend your graduation, your award will be conferred in-absentia and your parchment will be mailed to you in November.
Guest Tickets
As a Graduand, your invitation to the conferring permits you to bring up to two guests to the ceremony. You must collect these tickets at the collection desk, located in Room W163 when collecting your academic gown. You must produce your Student ID (or another form of identification e.g., NDLS, Passport). Your tickets will be released to you in person, no one else can collect your tickets on your behalf.
Your guests are expected to be in attendance at least 30 minutes before the ceremony commences. Your guests will be required to present their ticket to gain admission to the Conferring Ceremony. It will not be possible to gain admission WITHOUT a Guest Ticket. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GUESTS ARE AWARE OF THIS TO AVOID DIFFICULTIES ON THE DAY.
Seating in the Conferring Hall is limited for health and safety reasons. Entry will be by invitation only.
The ceremony is not suitable for children under the age of 12 years old.
Additional Tickets
There are no additional tickets available at this time.
Live streaming will be available in the Dúchas Centre (KSA Building) for guests without a ticket. It will also be live streamed on the screens around the college.
Graduate and Family Photography
Designated official photographers (Lafayette Photography) will be available on the day of the Conferring and they will be located on campus from 8am on 27 October 2023, in the BIT Building. Only the official photographers will be permitted to use the facilities. Individual/family photographs may be taken on the day or by arrangement with the official photographers.
Pre-booking is highly recommended by Lafayette for your photography session.
