This is an exhilarating time for the thousands of students receiving their Leaving Cert results and looking forward to starting Higher Education this year. Round One offers issued to CAO applications on Thursday August 15th. Students have until Friday August 23rd at 5.15pm to accept these offers.

They represent the culmination of years of hard work and it’s an exciting time as the students decide on the next step in their educational journey,’ said Dr. Brendan O’Donnell, Acting President at IT Tralee. ‘We look forward to welcoming many of these students to IT Tralee and our expert admissions team are on hand over the coming days to assist with any queries they may have.”

Students joining IT Tralee this year will be among the first to enjoy the benefits of the newly constructed €19m Kerry Sports Academy which will be home to the Institute’s ever popular Health and Leisure Courses as well as providing state-of-the-art sports and recreation facilities for the wider student population. IT Tralee is set to continue the expansion of its North Campus having recently submitted planning permission to construct a €28m Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) building.

For some, finding suitable student accommodation can be challenging and its worth remembering that Tralee town is one of the most cost effective destinations in which to pursue your higher education. IT Tralee’s student services office can point you in the right direction if you are looking for accommodation for the upcoming academic year.

Students who are still considering their options are urged to look at the ‘CAO Available Places’ facility, which opens on the 20 August at 12:00. Available Places are places that remain unfilled in particular courses after all offers have been made and waiting lists have been exhausted.
