A group of students, who are currently working within the Tourism and Hospitality industry in Kerry, received their certificates on completion of the Mixology Module (The Art of Cocktail Making), at a dinner, which was hosted to mark the occasion on Wednesday 19 February 2020, in the Hotel, Culinary Arts and Tourism Department at ITTralee.
This idea of Single Modular Certification is ideal for individuals who cannot commit to full time study or are interested in Up-Skilling in very specific areas whilst still working in industry. Individuals can choose from the many modules available at ITTralee, other areas which students are currently studying on are Contemporary Cuisine, numerous Pastry modules and in the area of Event Risk Management. On completion of the modules, the participants will receive single modular certification. These can then be used in the future on other related programmes of study.
Head of Section, TJ O Connor says the feedback from the participants and businesses on all these modules has been amazing. It gives individuals and businesses the opportunity to really focus on the skills they require from both a personal development point of view and meeting specific business needs.
