The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing Studies is a one year top up post-registration degree programme for registered nurses from international countries. This programme runs parallel with the domestic undergraduate nursing programme, namely the BSc (Honours) in General Nursing. As part of the BSc in Nursing Studies programme, students undertake shared modules from semester 2 of year 3 and semester 1 of year 4 of the BSc in General Nursing programme.

Principles for Nursing Care 4: Applied Pharmacology for General Nursing (5 ECTS credits)
Law and Ethics for Practice (5 ECTS credits)
Enabling Positive Ageing (5 ECTS credits)
Nursing Research Methodology (5 ECTS credits)
Prevention and Management of Chronic Illness (10 ECTS credits)
2nd Semester
Safety Quality Accountability (10 ECTS credits)
Principles of Nursing Care 5: Clinical Decision Making (10 ECTS credits)
Leadership and Management (5 ECTS credits)
Research for Evidence Based Nursing (5 ECTS credits)
Candidates with a recognised Diploma In Nursing who have Registered Nurse status and a sufficient level of English to study in Higher Education are welcome to apply.
Candidates must show that they have a sufficient level of English to study in Higher Education. If the candidate can verify that the medium of instruction for their Diploma was English that can be accepted as verifying a sufficient level of English, otherwise the candidate must meet one the following minimums -
IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any 1 band)
PTE Academic 50
Occupational English Test (OET ) 250 overall with no less than 200 in any one skill.
