Fr. Pat Ahern is best known as a founder member of Siamsa Tire, the National Folk Theatre established in 1973. A native of Moyvane, Fr Pat was educated at St Michael's College, Listowel, St. Brendan's College, Killarney, and St. Patrick's College, Maynooth. He also studied music at UCC under the late Professor Fleischmann, graduating in 1962.

His first appointment was to a curacy in St. John's parish, Tralee in 1957 .During those early years he founded St. John's Gregorian Choir which is still going strong and he produced two major Religious Pageants Massabielle, the story of Lourdes and Golgotha a Passion Play

Sr. Stanislaus Kennedy, or Sr. Stan as she is more affectionately known is one of Ireland's best-known social innovators. She is a member of the congregation of Religious Sisters of Charity since 1958 and has dedicated her life working to blaze a trail on behalf of the poorest and most marginalised in society.

Jerry Kennelly is recognised as one of Ireland's leading entrepreneurs. Jerry started business as a photojournalist in 1981 working for a freelance agency in Tralee covering Ireland for international and national papers for 15 years. He also worked in his family's business Kerry's Eye as it is known to-day.

Micheál O Muircheartaigh is the country's best-known Gaelic games commentator. His recognisable voice has become synonymous with Gaelic games for generations of fans and GAA supporters. A native Irish speaker, Mícheál has a huge interest in the promotion and development of the Irish language and has played a major part at national level in this regard.

Micheál was born in 1930 in Dun Sion, near Dingle, Co. Kerry. Micheál was educated in the Presentation Convent and the Christian Brothers School in Dingle, at Colaiste Iosagain in Baile Bhuirne, Co. Cork, and at UCD.  Full Citation >>

Dick Spring's achievements in politics are recognised throughout the world and in hi sown right he is an established businessman operating in global markets.

Dick was born in Tralee and was the son of Dan Spring , the well known TD. Following his second level education he moved on to Trinity College and Kings Inns where he graduated as a barrister.
