How To Make An FOI Request
All requests:
- must be in writing
- must state that it is being made under the Freedom of Information Act
- should be as specific as possible and contain sufficient particulars to enable the record to be identified
- should specify if the information is required in a particular form i.e. photocopy, disk etc.
- should contain contact details to enable contact if it is necessary to clarify details of the request.
Proof of identity may be required, particularly when requesting personal information, so you may therefore be asked to produce your Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate or other acceptable form of identification.
